Make sure you have a database and database user created and that you have placed the contents of the Drupal 8 compressed file to your document root. Once those have been completed, you can visit your site's URL to get started with the installation.
Setting up the essentials:
We start off the installation with choosing the default language. Next you pick the installation profile you want. There are two options, standard and minimal. In most cases standard will suffice, but if you are an advance user who knows what you want you can go for the minimal option.
After the language and profile has been selected, the installer will look over the server to verify that it meets the requirements for Drupal 8. If everything checks out you will be taken to the database setup section, if not you will be shown what is wrong.
Set up your database information in this section.
Installing Drupal 8
Once all the information has been inputted the installer will start installing the core modules of Drupal 8.
Configure Drupal 8 site
In this final section you will configure your Drupal 8 site. This includes the site name, creating the admin user, and setting up the timezone. You also have the option to get emails when updates are available to the site.
Welcome to Drupal 8!
That's it! Drupal 8 is all installed and ready to start having content added to it!
